Unlike hardwoods that take decades to mature, pine trees grow relatively fast, making them a more sustainable choice. The casket features elegant hemp rope handles, adding a touch of natural charm. Inside, you'll find a handmade mattress and pillow filled with wood shavings or hay, providing a comfortable and eco-friendly resting place. Pine Casket
This casket is adorned with hand-forged nails; four last nails and pre-drilled holes in the lid are provided for loved ones to participate in closing the casket. The casket interior includes a handmade 100% undyed cotton mattress and pillow, and can be customized by request with personal fabrics.

Pine Casket for Jewish Burials
This casket is 100% biodegradable and made without adornment or any metal components, honoring simplicity and equality as we return to dust. Handmade in our workshop with sanded pine boards, non-animal sourced glues, and joints fastened with wooden dowels. Six, sturdy hemp handles are securely knotted into the sides. Please get in touch to discuss additional specifications, and interior options such as a simple wrapped cotton burial shroud or biodegradable bottom pad stuffed with wood shavings.
